Encouraged in Christ
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
“The LORD upholdeth all that fall,
And raiseth up all those that be bowed down.”
Psalm 145:14
~
“Sostiene Jehová a todos los que caen,
Y levanta a todos los oprimidos.”
Salmos 145:14
What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield you; you will find a solace there.

Cada vez que el diablo produce un Goliat, Dios tiene un David en alguna parte. Así que- siempre recuerda.

Every time the devil produces a Goliath, God’s got a David somewhere. So just-just always remember that.

“Little Moses out there, looking up towards the star lit skies at night, when the wind was a blowing and a howling across the places. The old Nile a jumping, and the crocodiles going under the basket. Hallelujah! Safe, protected, standing between was an atonement between him and all the gales and the heavy winds that the devil could send. Nothing would upset that little ark. He floated right on through.” WMB

“Pequeño Moisés allá afuera, mirando hacia los cielos iluminados por las estrellas en la noche, cuando el viento soplaba y aullaba a través de los lugares. El viejo Nilo saltaba y los cocodrilos se metían debajo de la canasta. Aleluya! Seguro, protegido, interponiéndose en medio había una expiación entre él y todos los vendavales y los fuertes vientos que el diablo podría enviar. Nada trastornaría esa pequeña arca. Él flotó a través de ella”. WMB
“Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, That I might not sin against thee. Blessed art thou, O LORD: Teach me thy statutes. With my lips have I declared All the judgments of thy mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, As much as in all riches. I will meditate in thy precepts, And have respect unto thy ways. I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.”
Psalm 119:9-16

Porque los montes se moverán, y los collados temblarán, pero no se apartará de ti mi misericordia, ni el pacto de mi paz se quebrantará, dijo Jehová, el que tiene misericordia de ti.
